Watergate Bay near Newquay in Cornwall is well known for surfing, but its wide flat expanse of sand is also well suited to beach sports such as kiteboarding and kitebuggy-ing, especially in the off-season when it is too chilly for people to sit on the beach. This painting was done from a photograph taken on Christmas Eve a few years ago - a cold but sunny day. |
