We had the joy of visiting my favourite place in New Zealand again in 2009. The Cove has become well-known as there is a scene in the film "Prince Caspian" which is set there - though it gives only a very fleeting glimpse of this lovely place. It is now much more popular for tourists, with a vastly improved path down to it, and even a toilet in the Cove (well hidden, thankfully). In spite of those concessions to tourists, it is still an enchanted place, beautiful and awesome. |
